I'm a tattoo artist and illustrator, and Shoekids is the little universe that lives in my sketchbook — mischievous cartoon girls, striped tigers, clowns, cowgirls and cats, drawn in the spirit of old-school flash and 1930s cartoons.
For years these characters lived on skin. Now they're woven into cotton blankets and printed on postcards, so you can wrap yourself in them, gift them, and hang them on your wall. Every piece is made to order, in small batches, by our small family business.

How long until my blanket arrives?
Every blanket is woven to order just for you: production takes 3–6 business days, then it ships and you'll get a tracking link by email.
Is the design printed?
Nope! Shoekids blankets are jacquard woven from 100% cotton — the drawing is made of the threads themselves, so it can't crack, peel or wash off. Flip it over and you'll see the design in reversed colors.
Which size should I pick?
37×52″ — chair throw, baby, car or pet blanket.
50×60″ — sofa throw or wall tapestry.
60×80″ — queen/full bed, picnic or a big cozy sofa blanket.
Does the design look the same in every size?
Almost! Each of the 3 sizes has its own proportions, so the design may sit slightly differently near the edges from size to size. The characters and the whole drawing are always there — only the framing around the edges shifts a little.
Can I hang it on the wall?
Yes — and it looks amazing! Shoekids blankets double as woven wall tapestries: a giant piece of tattoo flash above your bed, sofa or desk. 🖼️
Easy ways to hang it: a wooden tapestry hanger or poster rail, a curtain rod with clip rings, or a slim rod slipped through a few sewn-on loops. The 50×60″ size is the sweet spot for walls; 37×52″ works great in smaller spaces.
What does it feel like?
Soft but substantial — a woven cotton throw with real weight and texture, not fuzzy like fleece. It gets cozier with every wash and is breathable, so it works all year round.
How do I wash and care for it?
Wash: machine wash cold (max 90°F) on a gentle cycle with mild detergent. Wash it on its own the first time.
Dry: tumble dry low or lay flat — skip high heat, it's cotton.
Bleach: non-chlorine only, if needed.
Iron: low heat on the back side if you want it extra crisp.
Fringe: after washing, gently comb the fringe with your fingers; snip any loose thread instead of pulling it.
